getting fit

getting fit

Getting fit is not easy. It requires dedication and commitment that I’m not sure I’m all the way ready for. But today I went to Crossfit, after my 1.5 hour long open house. I actually went home, put on my sneakers and tights and caught a bus to go work out. At round 4 I wanted to give up. At round 7 I could actually feel bile in my throat. I barely started round 8 when time was up. We were supposed to do 10 rounds, 10 reps of 3 exercises and walking lunges across the floor with a plate held overhead in between. I was aiming for 5. I got to 7. I’m exhausted and I really want to eat a chocolate bar but instead I’m headed to take a shower, have a handful of blueberries and nuts and lather myself in Shea butter. I don’t know if I’m completely ready for this fit journey, it will be work. But today I got there. I did it. Yeah me.

    1. LOL Colleen, I’m not sure if it’s impressive or just ridiculous. I am realizing that I have a lot more hours in the day than I think. (It’s the pleasure of being single and childless.)
